Food Recall: Rude Health Low Sugar Granola

UK/London: Rude Health Foods Limited, a London, England establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Rude Health Low Sugar Granola products from the British marketplace due to suspected stone fragment contamination and consequential risks of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and sepsis, all serious health and safety hazards.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Granola Cereal products are subject to recall:

• Rude Health Low Sugar Granola – Almond and Hazelnut flavour, sold in 400 gram cardboard boxes with a best-before date of 17 April 2024, 11 May 2024 or 12 June 2024

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Rude Health Foods has recalled certain batch/lots of Rude Health Low Sugar Granola products from the British marketplace due to suspected stone fragment contamination. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Granola Cereal products identified above.

In general, if bone, glass, metal, plastic, rubber fragments and/or stone are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Rude Health Low Sugar Granola products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Cereal pr to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and/or sepsis.
