US/Silver Spring: Stonewall Kitchen, a York, Maine establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Peanut Butter Maltballs from the American marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Peanuts, Soy and Wheat, all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Confectionery products are subject to this recall:

• Peanut Butter Maltballs, sold in six (6)-ounce, clear, cello bags with a white identification label with an item number of 553646, a best-by date of December 31, 2024 and a UPC of 7 1138131608 5

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Confectionery products can be found on the Web site above.

==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Stonewall Kitchen Peanut Butter Maltballs were known to be marketed, distributed and sold from Stonewall Kitchen Company retail stores located in the US states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the FDA, Stonewall Kitchen has recalled certain batch/lots of Peanut Butter Maltballs from the American marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Peanuts. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Confectionery products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Stonewall Kitchen Peanut Butter Maltballs and could be allergic to their Peanuts, Soy and/or Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
