Food Recall: Unilever Knorr Sopa Soup Mixes

US/Silver Spring: Unilever United States Inc., an Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Knorr Sopa Soup Mix products from the American marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Egg, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following packaged Soup Mix products are subject to this recall:

• Knorr Estrellitas con Tomate Tomato Based Star Pasta Soup Mixes, sold in 3.5-ounce pouches; affected dates: all dates prior to and including July 6, 2024 with a UPC of 048001716193
• Knorr Fideos con Tomate Tomato Based Pasta Soup Mixes, sold in 3.5-ounce pouches; affected dates: all dates prior to and including July 6, 2024 with a UPC of 048001716162
• Knorr Letras con Tomate Tomato Based Alphabet Pasta Soup Mixes, sold in 3.5-ounce pouches; affected dates: all dates prior to and including July 6, 2024 with a UPC of 048001716186

==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These packaged Soup Mix products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in all US states, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution outside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the FDA, Unilever United States Inc. has recalled certain batch/lots of Knorr Sopa Soup Mix products from the American marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Egg. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled packaged Soup Mix products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Knorr Sopa Soup Mix products and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
