Vehicle Recall: Jaguar I-Pace EV SUVs

Canada/Ottawa: Transport Canada, an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and safety safety authority, recalls certain 2020, 2021 and 2022 model year Jaguar I-Pace Electric Vehicle (“EV”) Sport Utility Vehicles (“SUVs”) marketed, sold and delivered in Canada due to suspected High-Voltage Coolant Heater failure.

If this defect occurs, less cabin heat could be available, and the Windshield Defrost System may not work properly leading to decreased driving visibility and increased risks of crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

Please note: currently, this recall only affects vehicles without a Heated Windshield.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage and/or internal injuries.

==> No VINs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Proposed Remedy:
Jaguar will notify owners of the recalled MY2020 to MY2022 Jaguar I-Pace Electric Vehicle (“EV”) Sport Utility Vehicles (“SUVs”) by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to an Authorized Dealer to inspect the vehicle and, if necessary, replace the High-Voltage Coolant Heater.
