Logo - Australian Competition & Consumer Commission ("ACCC")According to the ACCC, Kmart Australia Ltd. has recalled certain batch/lots of Anko Baby Activity Chairs from the Australian marketplace due to failure to comply with Australia’s mandatory standard for Toys for Children up to and including 36 months. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither let your child play with or near the recalled Children’s Furniture products identified above.

  • In this case, this recall was initiated after the material stitching around the Elephant’s Ear in the recalled Anko Baby Activity Chairs that secures the small Plastic Mirror may fail. If this defect occurs, it could release the Mirror and pose a consequential risk to the health of children who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use.

In general, if glass, plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Anko Baby Activity Chairs, please do not use them or let your child play with or near them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
