Drug Recall: Sci-Mx Nutrition Ultra Muscle Supplement

UK/London: Home Bargains, a Newport, Shropshire establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Sci-Mx Nutrition Ultra Muscle Supplement – Strawberry Flavour from the British marketplace due to suspected excess Caffeine levels and consequential risks sf anxiety, sleeplessness, agitation, palpitations, diarrhoea and restlessness.

In some people, Caffeine can worsen Clinical Psychosis and result in the need for higher amounts of appropriate medication. In addition, Caffeine can reduce how well some anti-psychotic medications work.

In severe cases, high levels of Caffeine can cause kidney failure, blood in the stools or urine, coma, confusion and/or Necrotizing Enterocolitis, all serious and potential fatal situations, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Supplement products are subject to recall:

• Sci-Mx Nutrition Ultra Muscle Supplement Powder – Strawberry Flavour, sold in 1.5 kilogram pouches with a batch/lot code of W110429 and a best-before date of March 2025

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Home Bargains has recalled certain batch/lots of Sci-Mx Nutrition Ultra Muscle Supplement – Strawberry Flavour from the British marketplace due to suspected excess Caffeine levels. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Supplement products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect drug.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Sci-Mx Nutrition Ultra Muscle Supplement products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Supplement to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat anxiety, sleeplessness, agitation, palpitations, diarrhoea, kidney failure, blood in the stools or urine, coma, confusion and/or Necrotizing Enterocolitis.
