Food Recall: Haskalife Pure Haskap Berry Super Shots

Canada/Ottawa: Pi’ara Functional Foods Ltd., a Calgary, Alberta establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Haskalife branded Pure Haskap Berry Super Shot Nutritional Supplements from the Canadian marketplace due to reported spoilage and possible bacterial and/or viral infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Nutritional Supplement products are subject to this recall:

• Haskalife branded Pure Haskap Berry Super Shots, sold in 60 ml bottles with a date code of 23 JN 22 and a UPC of 6 27987 76714 8

Please consult the photograph above for details of the supplement’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

==> No manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Haskalife branded Pure Haskap Berry Super Shots were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Canadian province of Alberta, although it is always possible these Nutritional Supplement products had wider distribution outside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the CFIA, Pi’ara Functional Foods has recalled certain batch/lots of Haskalife branded Pure Haskap Berry Super Shot Supplements due to suspected spoilage and possible bacterial and/or viral infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Soda products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Haskalife branded Pure Haskap Berry Super Shots, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store or other outlet where you purchased or acquired it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial and/or viral poisonings.
