Among the eighty-nine (89) recalls the NHTSA announced in June came news of the following:

Logo - The Autocar Company, LLC ("Autocar")The Autocar Company, LLC (“Autocar”), a Birmingham, Alabama establishment and subsidiary of GVW Group, LLC of Highland Park, Illinois, has recalled 2,671 model year 2022-2023 Autocar ACTT Xspotter Industrial Trucks marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Fuel System, Diesel – Improperly secured Fuel Tank Mounting Straps

NHTSA Safety Notification 23V442000 reports the Fuel Tank Mounting Straps may not be properly secured.

According to the NHTSA, an improperly secured Fuel Tank can separate from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

Proposed Remedy:
Authorized Autocar Dealers will inspect and secure, or replace the fuel tank mounting straps as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 21, 2023. Owners may contact Autocar Customer Service toll-free at 1-888-218-3611 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) for more information. Autocar’s designation for this recall is ACTT-2302.
