Among the sixty-one (61) recalls the NHTSA announced in June comes news of the following:

Logo - Ducati North America ("Ducati")Ducati North America (“Ducati”), a Mountain View, California establishment and subsidiary of Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. of Bologna, Italy., itself a subsidiary of Audi through its Italian subsidiary Lamborghini, with Audi itself owned by the Volkswagen Group, has recalled an estimated 3,315 model year 2020-2023 Ducati Panigale V2 Motorcycles marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Exterior Lighting – Headlight Malfunction in apparent contravention of US FMVSS 108

NHTSA Safety Notification 23V377000 reports the Dashboard in the recalled Ducati Panigale V2 Motorcycles could automatically switch from Low Beam Headlights to the Headlight Daylight Position Lamp (“DRL”) while in Automatic Setting Mode. As such, these Motorcycles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment”.

Proposed Remedy:
Authorized Ducati Dealers will update the Dashboard Software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 20, 2023. Owners may contact Ducati Customer Service toll-free at 1-888-391-5446 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) for more information. Ducati’s number for this recall is SRV-RCL-23-003.
