On certain Toyota vehicles, water could leak into the Rear Door Handle(s) and could cause the Door Opener Switch(es) to short circuit. If this happens, the Rear Door(s) could open unexpectedly while driving.

On certain Toyota trucks, the Axle Housing(s) may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the Axle Retaining Nuts could loosen and detach. If this happens, the Axle Shaft(s) could separate from the Axle Housing(s). This could cause reduced in-use braking and/or reduced vehicle stability.

On the affected Toyota RAV4 SUVs, rapid acceleration can reportedly cause the Battery voltage to drop suddenly while driving in EV mode in cold temperatures, As a consequence, the Hybrid System could shut down and cause a sudden loss of power to the Drive Wheels.
