US/Bethesda & Canada/Ottawa: BlendJet Inc., a Benicia, California establishment recalls an estimated total 4.917,000 BlendJet 2 branded Portable Blenders (approximately 4.8 million in the US and approximately 117,000 in Canada) from the American and Canadian marketplaces due to reported in-use overheating and component breakage and/or detachment with consequential risks of fire, laceration and eye injury, all health and/or safety hazards, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.
