Vehicle Recall: Alfa Romeo Tonale & Dodge Hornet PHEVs

Canada/Ottawa: Transport Canada, an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and safety authority, recalls an estimated 5,053 model year 2023 and 2024 Alfa Romeo Tonale and Dodge Hornet Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (“PHEVs”) marketed, sold and delivered in Canada.

On certain Alfa Romeo and Dodge Vehicles, the required Compliance Label does not list the vehicle type in French and lists incorrect measuring units for the vehicle’s Gross Axle Weight Ratings (“GAWR”).

Additionally, the Tire and Loading Information Label may be printed in English only. Canadian regulations require this information to be listed on the labels in both English and French. Both defects could lead to overloading of the vehicle and cause poor handling and/or an in-use Tire failure.
