Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Advwin Trading Pty Ltd., a Dandenong South, Victoria establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Pet Dryers from the Australian marketplace due to suspected failure to ground the Dryer’s metal enclosure and insufficient internal wiring insulation with consequential melting of the heating element causing the exterior case to become electrically live with consequential risks of electric shock, fire, burns, respiratory impairment and cardiac arrest, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Pet Dryers are subject to this recall:

  • Advwin Trading Pet Dryers, consisting of pet hair dryers, sold in black-coloured metal enclosures with four (4) nozzle attachments and a SKU of 610700400

==> No manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Advwin Trading Pet Dryers were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in all Australian states, although it is always possible these pet products had wider distribution outside the country including over the Web. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should not use the recalled Pet Dryers identified above.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Pet Dryers, please do not use. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund or replacement product.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat electric shock, fire, burns, respiratory impairment and/or cardiac arrest.
