Among the eighty-one (81) recalls the NHTSA has announced in February comes news of the following:

Logo - Dainese S.p.A. ("Dainese")Dainese S.p.A. (“Dainese”), a Molvena, Vicenza, Italy establishment and a subsidiary of Carlyle of Washington, DC has recalled an estimated 2,142 AGV Tourmodular Motorcycle Helmets marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Equipment – Helmet Micrometric Buckle may fail to engage

NHTSA Safety Notification 24E014000 reports the Helmet’s Micrometric Buckle may fail to automatically engage. If this defect occurs, it may allow the Chin Strap to loosen.

According to the NHTSA, a loose Motorcycle Helmet may fall off the head, or not properly protect the rider or passenger in the event of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

Dainese will apply lubricant to the buckles, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 12, 2024.
