Z.o.o., a Slubice, Poland establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Yayla Sucuk Sausage from the British marketplace due to suspected Escherichia coli (“E.coli”), specifically Shiga Toxin-producing E. Coli (“STEC”) contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Meat Sausage products are subject to recall:

  • Könecke Sp. Yayla Sucuk Meat Sausage, sold in 200 gram packages with a batch/lot code of 10865984 and a best-before date code of 14 January 2024, 26 January 2024, 23 February 2024 or 01 March 2024

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Z.o.o., has recalled certain batch/lots of Yayla Sucuk Meat Sausage from the British marketplace due to suspected Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (“E.coli”) contamination. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Meat Sausage products identified above.

Z.o.o. has recalled certain batch/lots of Yayla Sucuk Sausage from the British marketplace due to suspected Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (“STEC”) contamination, please consult the “Illnesses” tab on this site, located at the top of this page.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Yayla Sucuk Meat Sausage, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Sausage to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings such as Shiga Toxin-producing E. Coli, (“STEC”).
