Logo - MEKRA Lang North America, LLC ("Mekra")MEKRA Lang North America, LLC (“Mekra”), a Ridgeway, South Carolina establishment and subsidiary of MEKRA Group has recalled an estimated 22,106 Medium-Duty Mirrors manufactured for PACCAR Commercial Trucks marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Visibility – Cab Mirror Assembly may detach

NHTSA Safety Notification 24E004000 reports the Glass Lock Ring on the Cab Mirror Assembly may not be fully seated, allowing the Mirror Glass to detach.

According to the NHTSA, a detached Mirror Glass can reduce driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results. In addition, component detachment may create a road debris hazard, also increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”).
