Food Recall: Glorious Goodies Cavendish Crunch Treats

Canada/Ottawa: Glorious Goodies Inc., a Harrington, Prince Edward Island establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Cavendish Crunch Freeze Dried Treats from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Egg, Milk and Soy, all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious health and safety hazard requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Confectionery products are subject to this recall:

• Glorious Goodies branded Cavendish Crunch Freeze Dried Treats, sold in 36 gram pouches; affected batch/lots: all codes where Egg, Milk and Soy are not declared on the label with a UPC of 6 56464 01277 8
• Glorious Goodies branded Cavendish Crunch Freeze Dried Treats, sold in 40 gram pouches; affected batch/lots: all codes where Egg, Milk and Soy are not declared on the label with a UPC of 6 56464 01277 8

==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Glorious Goodies branded Cavendish Crunch Freeze Dried Treats were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Canadian provinces of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the CFIA, Glorious Goodies has recalled certain batch/lots of Cavendish Crunch Freeze Dried Treats from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Egg, Milk and Soy. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Confectionery products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Cavendish Crunch Freeze Dried Treats and could be allergic to their Egg, Milk or Soy Allergy ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
