Vehicle Recall: Rolls-Royce Phantom Sedans

Canada/Ottawa: Transport Canada, an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and safety authority, recalls certain model year 2018 to 2022 Rolls-Royce Phantom Sedans marketed, sold and delivered in Canada.

On the affected Rolls-Royce vehicles, the Central Information Display (“CID”) screen may not raise to the correct position when the vehicle is unlocked and/or the Driver’s Door is opened.

As a result, the Rearview Camera image may not be visible on the display. Canadian regulations require the Rearview Image to display when the Transmission is shifted into REVERSE gear.

A Rearview Camera image that is not visible could reduce a driver’s ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event, increasing the risk of consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage, internal injuries burns, scalds, explosive blast injury, smoke inhalation and/or respiratory and/or cardiac injury.

==> No VINs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Proposed Remedy:
BMW Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to an authorized dealership to update the affected vehicle’s Software.
