Vehicle Recall: Mercedes-Benz Sedans, SUVs & Vans

Canada/Ottawa: Transport Canada, an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and safety authority, recalls certain model year 2021, 2022 and 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sedans, SUVs and Vans marketed, sold and delivered in Canada.

On the affected Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the Fuel Delivery Module could fail.

As a result of this reported defect, the Engine may run rough or may not start. The defect could also result in a sudden loss of Engine power if the vehicle is in motion.

A sudden loss of Engine power could increase the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event, increasing the risk of consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage, internal injuries burns, scalds, explosive blast injury, smoke inhalation and/or respiratory and/or cardiac injury.

==> No VINs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Proposed Remedy:
Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to an Authorized Dealer to replace the Fuel Delivery Module.

The manufacturer’s designation listed for this recall is 2023353.
