Logo - Airstream, Inc. ("Airstream")Airstream, Inc. (“Airstream”), a Jackson Center, Ohio establishment and subsidiary of Thor Industries of Elkhart, Indiana, has recalled an estimated 3,460 model year 2019-2024 Airstream Interstate 19, Airstream Interstate 24, Airstream Interstate 24X, Airstream Rangeline and Airstream Atlas Motorhomes marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Equipment – Incorrect Tire Information on Label in apparent contravention of US FMVSS 110

NHTSA Safety Notification 23V772000 reports the Federal Certification Label and Tire Placard may indicate incorrect Tire pressure and Tire size. As such, these Airstream vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, “Tire Selection and Rims”.

According to the NHTSA, Incorrect Tire information can result in under-inflated Tires or installing the incorrect-size Tires, increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.
