Among the eighty-one (81) recalls the NHTSA announced in November came news of the following:

Logo - Sentury Tire Thailand (“Sentury Tire”)Sentury Tire USA (“Sentury Tire”), a Hialeah, Florida establishment and a subsidiary of Sentury Tire Thailand, has recalled an estimated 8,900 Sentury Arroyo, Sentury Landgolden, Sentury Landsail, Sentury Lexani, Sentury Lionhart, Sentury Mavis, Sentury Mohave, Sentury National, Sentury Radar and Sentury Vercelli Tires marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Tires – Improperly Cured Tire Tread may separate

NHTSA Safety Notification 23T009000 reports the Tire’s Base Tread Layer was improperly cured. If this defect occurs, it can result in Tread separation.

According to the NHTSA, Tire Tread separation can cause vehicle instability, increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

Proposed Remedy:
Authorized Sentury Dealers will replace the Tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 15, 2023.

Owners may contact Sentury Tire at 1-866-305-2750 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) for more information. Sentury Tire’s designation for this recall is 1723.
