US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Texas Tamale Co., a Houston, Texas establishment, recalls an estimated 1,632 packages of Texas Tamale Black Bean Tamales sold at Trader Joe’s from the American marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and/or mispackaging and consequential undeclared Milk, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Canada/Ottawa: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”), an Ottawa, Ontario-based statutory regulatory and food safety authority, warns against consuming certain batch/lots of various Caffeinated Energy Drinks from the Canadian marketplace due to reported failure to properly comply with Canada’s Caffeine content and labelling requirements leading to possible ingestion of excess Caffeine levels with consequential risks of anxiety, sleeplessness, agitation, palpitations, diarrhea and restlessness.

This notification does not reference any new recalls or warnings. It merely itemizes the variety of Caffeinated Energy Drinks that have been recalled by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency recently. In some people, Caffeine can worsen Clinical Psychosis and result in the need for higher amounts of appropriate medication. In addition, Caffeine can reduce how well some anti-psychotic medications work.

In severe cases, high levels of Caffeine can cause kidney failure, blood in the stools or urine, coma, confusion and/or Necrotizing Enterocolitis, all serious and potential fatal situations, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.
