US FlagUS/Washington: Sensio Inc., a New York, New York establishment, recalls an estimated 860,000 Bella, Bella Pro Series, Cooks and Crux Electric and Stovetop Pressure Cookers from the American marketplace due to suspected in-use lid locking failure and consequential risks of burns, scalds and eye damage hazards, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Logo - US Consumer Product Safety Commission ("CPSC")According to the CPSC, the recalled Pressure Cooker’s Lid can unlock and be removed during use, causing the hot contents to unexpectedly splash out on people who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use. If this defect occurs, it poses a burn and/or scald hazard to operators and those nearby.

In this case, this recall was initiated after Sensio received sixty-three (63) reports of incidents, including sixty-one (61) burn injuries, some of which involved second- and third-degree burns to the face, torso, arms and hands.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Bella, Bella Pro Series, Cooks and Crux Electric and Stovetop Pressure Cookers, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat burns, scalds and/or eye injury.
