Among the sixty-one (61) recalls the NHTSA announced in June comes news of the following:

Logo - Winnebago Industries, Inc.Winnebago Industries, Inc. (“Winnebago”), a Forest City, Iowa establishment, has recalled an estimated 1,328 model year 2020-2023 Winnebago Shell, 2021-2023 Winnebago Inspire, 2022-2023 Winnebago Vista, Adventurer, Forza, Journey and Itasca Sunstar Motorhomes marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Seat Belts – Loose Seat Belt Attachment in apparent contravention of US FMVSS 210

NHTSA Safety Notification 23V365000 reports the Seat Belt Attachment may have been improperly tightened. As such these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 210, “Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages”.

According to the NHTSA, a loose Seat Belt Attachment may not properly restrain the occupant in the event of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

Proposed Remedy:
Authorized Winnebago Dealers will inspect and tighten the Seat Belt Attachment Fasteners, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 16, 2023. Owners may contact Winnebago Customer Service toll-free at 1-800-537-1885 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Central Standard Time (“CST”) for more information. Winnebago’s designation for this recall is 175.
