About Milk Allergies:
According to the US National Institutes of Health (“NIH”), milk allergies are very common, especially in infants and young children. Estimates range from 1% to 2% of all kids suffer from a milk allergy. There is also some anecdotal evidence that as we age, we lose the ability to digest milk products (although this condition is technically classified as an intolerance, rather than a full-blown allergy).
