Additional information:
2143 - CedarLakeHeaterCookersThe US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports the dual use Cedar Lake Heater/Cooker consists of a single large ceramic burner with a metal stand. It measures 9 inches by 10.25 inches by 4.5 inches. It has a fitting below the burner for a propane bottle of either 16.4 ounce or 14.1 ounce sizes. The recalled Heater/Cooker comes with a hose and regulator for connecting the propane bottle; its product number of #14219 is printed on the Heater/Cooker’s packaging.

According to the CPSC, the regulator on the Heater/Cooker malfunctions when a user switches from the “cooking” option to a “heating” one (or vice versa). If this occurs, the gas propane turns to liquid, which can easily flare up and pose a fire and injury hazard to the user and/or those nearby. There has been one incident of fire reported to the CPSC.
