Canada/Ottawa: Logo - WalmartThe Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”), an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and food safety authority, warns that certain batch/lots of Baby Food offered for sale at Walmart Canada may be unfit for consumption due to possible product substitution and/or tampering with consequential risk of bacterial infection, foreign object contamination and ingestion, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the manufacturer’s preliminary inspection has found some cans of Preferida Whole Pinto Beans may not have been fully processed. This may lead to product contamination due to spoilage organisms or by pathogens. In turn, this could cause consumer illness if eaten.
