Australia/Canberra: Mercedes Benz Australia/Pacific Pty recalls some Mitsubishi Fuso Euro 5 Canter TF Trucks due to brake impairment hazard. ACCC: http://ht.ly/nrCkB

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the Brake Vacuum Hose of the recalled Mitsubishi Fuso Euro 5 Canter TF Trucks may have been supplied without an internal check valve. If this occurs, and the engine is not running, it may lead to a loss of brake vacuum assistance. In turn, this may lead to greater than normal brake pedal pressure being needed to properly control the vehicle and may pose a crash hazard to the driver and other road users.
