US FlagUS/Washington: Tyson Foods, Inc., a Rogers, Arkansas establishment, expands its existing recall for an estimated 69,093 pounds of Tyson & Tyson and Spare Time branded Frozen, Ready-To-Eat Chicken Strip products to include an additional estimated 11,829,517 pounds of Best Choice, Food Lion, Giant Eagle, Giant Premium, Great Value, Hannaford, Kirkwood, Meijer and Spare Time branded frozen, ready-to-eat Chicken Strip Products. The original recall was due to suspected metal fragment contamination and consequential risk of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves the Touch Point brand Portable, Electric Baseboard Convection Heaters with Model Number “BBC-1500” and the Date Code “0611”. The words “Touch Point” can be found printed on the front of the recalled Heater and the Model and Date Code can be found on a silver sticker on the back side of the product. The Heaters were manufactured in June 2011, are black in color and measure approximately 30 inches long by 6 inches deep by 12 inches high.

According to the CPSC, the Heaters can overheat, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
