US/Washington, Canada/Ottawa & Mexico/Mexico City: Fitbit LLC (formally known as Fitbit, Inc.), a San Francisco, California establishment, recalls an estimated 1,693,000 Fitbit branded Ionic Smartwatches (approximately 1,000,000 in the US, approximately 70,561R in Canada and approximately 5,073 in Mexico) due to overheating and consequential risks of burns, scalds, smoke inhalation, respiratory failure, cardiac system collapse and/or property damage, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.
