US/Washington: Tyson Foods, Inc., a Rogers, Arkansas establishment, expands its existing recall for an estimated 69,093 pounds of Tyson & Tyson and Spare Time branded Frozen, Ready-To-Eat Chicken Strip products to include an additional estimated 11,829,517 pounds of Best Choice, Food Lion, Giant Eagle, Giant Premium, Great Value, Hannaford, Kirkwood, Meijer and Spare Time branded frozen, ready-to-eat Chicken Strip Products. The original recall was due to suspected metal fragment contamination and consequential risk of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health and safety hazards.
