Ikea Lyda CupThe US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves IKEA’s LYDA jumbo Coffee/Tea Cups. The 20-ounce cups are four inches tall and are white in color and decorated with a pink rose and green leaves. Printed on the bottom of the cup is the following information: Model number 302.033.7; Supplier number 10866; the IKEA logo; the words “IKEA of Sweden Design and Quality”, and “Made in Thailand”.

According to the CPSC, the recalled LYDA Cups can break when hot liquid is poured into them, creating a potential burn hazard. IKEA is aware of twenty reports globally of the LYDA Cups breaking when hot liquid was poured into them. Ten incidents reported scalding injuries with three of the reported injuries requiring medical treatment.
