Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Digit Fidgets, a Stepney, South Australia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Digit Fidgets Magnet Ball Toys from the Australian marketplace due to suspected failure to comply with Australia’s maximum allowable magnetic flux index set by the permanent ban on certain small, high powered magnets and consequential ingestion, intestinal perforation and internal laceration with risks of severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious safety hazards.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports if two or more magnets are swallowed, they can link together inside a child’s intestines and clamp onto body tissues, causing intestinal obstructions, perforations, sepsis and death. In addition, internal injury from magnets can pose serious lifelong health effects. According to the CPSC, the recalled products were sold exclusively on Amazon.com.
