US/Silver Spring: Liberty Fruit Company, Inc., a Kansas City, Kansas establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Liberty Fruit and Carol’s Cuts branded Fruit Medley, Fruit Tray, Fruit Salad, Cantaloupe Chunks, Hawaiian Blend and Melon Medley products from the American marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.
