US FlagCanada FlagUS/Washington & Canada/Ottawa: GE Appliances, a Louisville, Kentucky establishment and a subsidiary of Haier, recalls an estimated total 144,960 GE, GE Profile, Café, Haier, Hotpoint, Crosley and Conservator branded Free-Standing and Slide-In Electric and Gas Ranges (approximately 132,000 in the US and approximately 12,960 in Canada) from the American and Canadian marketplaces due to reported tip-over hazard and consequential risks of burns, scalds, smoke inhalation and/or respiratory failure, cardiac system collapse, crush, bone fracture and/or property damage, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.
