- Men’s Alp Trainer 2 Mid GTX Boots, sold with a black/black color scheme with a model number of 00-0000061382 and a production date code of FS 0-11 to FS 0 12; FS 1-01 to FS 1 12; FS 2 01; FS 2 02; FS 2 03 or FS 2-04
- Men’s Alp Trainer 2 Mid GTX Boots, sold with a raw green/pale frog color scheme with a model number of 00-0000061382 and a production date code of FS 0-11 to FS 0 12; FS 1-01 to FS 1 12; FS 2 01; FS 2 02 or FS 2 03;
- Men’s Alp Trainer 2 Mid GTX Boots, sold with a walnut/fluorescent orange color scheme with a model number of 00-0000061382 and a production date code of FS 0-11 to FS 0 12; FS 1-01 to FS 1 12; FS 2 01; FS 2 02 or FS 2 03;
- Women’s Alp Trainer 2 Mid GTX Boots, sold with a black/black color scheme with a model number of 00-0000061383 and a production date code of FS 0-11 to FS 0 12; FS 1-01 to FS 1 12; FS 2 01; FS 2 02 or FS 2 03
- Women’s Alp Trainer 2 Mid GTX Boots, sold with a duck green/rhododendron color scheme with a model number of 00-0000061383 and a production date code of FS 0-11 to FS 0 12; FS 1-01 to FS 1 12; FS 2 01; FS 2 02 or FS 2 03

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.
These Salewa Alp Trainer GTX Hiking Boots were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in all Canadian provinces, although it is always possible these footwear products had wider distribution outside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.
According to Health Canada, Salewa USA LLC has recalled an estimated 2,655 pairs of Salewa branded Men’s and Women’s Alp Trainer 2 Mid GTX Hiking Boots from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected component detachment and consequential risks of trip, falls, laceration, concussion, bone fractures and/or central nervous system (“CNS”) injury.
Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Salewa branded Men’s and Women’s Alp Trainer 2 Mid GTX Hiking Boots, please do not use them. Instead, contact Salewa for instructions to obtain a replacement pair.
==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat trips, falls, lacerations, concussion, bone fractures and/or central nervous system (“CNS”) injury.
