Among the fifty (50) recalls the European Union announced in its third report of January 2023, the following recall notification was made:

EU Product Recall: Flying Tiger Copenhagen Light Modelling Clay

Flying Tiger Copenhagen branded Vasetti di Pasta Modellabile Leggera Iskumvoks Light Modelling Clay Toys sold with an item designation of 3014809, a batch/lot designation of 238560 and a barcode/EAN of 0200030148097. This recall alert was submitted by Italy to the EU Gateway under alert number A12/00123/23.

These Flying Tiger Copenhagen branded Light Modelling Clay products were marketed, sold and delivered as modelling clay kits for children. Each of the Modelling Clay Kits consists of five (5) plastic pots of clay, each a different color: red, yellow, violet, green and blue.

No best-before date codes, model numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification with white writing.

The hazards reported in the Flying Tiger Copenhagen branded Light Modelling Clay Toys include the reported finding that ingestion or contact with the recalled Clay products may expose children to an excessive quantity of Boron. If this defect occurs, it poses risks to the reproductive and developmental systems of children.

As a result, utilizing the recalled Flying Tiger Copenhagen branded Light Modelling Clay in a reasonable manner expected with their intended design and anticipated use could precipitate serious injury and/or life-changing health consequences.

Proposed Remedy:
Due to these defects, the recalled Flying Tiger Copenhagen branded Light Modelling Clay reportedly does not comply with the requirements of Europe’s Toy Safety Directive nor with the European standard EN 71-3.

Consequently, a ban on the marketing of the Toys and additional accompanying measures has been issued for the European marketplace. You should not market, sell or use the recalled Modelling Clay products.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Flying Tiger Copenhagen branded Light Modelling Clay, please do not use them nor let your child play with or near them. Instead, kindly contact the store from which you purchased the product for a refund.

If you have a medical emergency, please contact 1-1-2, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat reproductive and/or developmental system damage..

Please note: 1-1-2 (also written as “112”) is the universal European emergency number you can dial free of charge from fixed and mobile phones anywhere in the EU. It will connect you to the local emergency services including police, ambulance, fire brigade.
