Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following products containing Button Batteries are subject to this recall:

  • Halloween LED Ornaments, sold in Pumpkin, Ghost, Vampire and Ghost Cat designs with a SKU or 4550480136707 or 4550480138633

Please consult the photograph above for details of the packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Halloween LED Ornaments can be found on the Web site above.

Logo - The Australian Competition & Consumer CommissionAccording to the ACCC, the recalled LED Ornaments are powered by small “Button” Batteries but have insufficient warning symbols to alert parents and other caregivers as to the dangers to children of these products.

In this case, if a young child gains access to the Button Batteries and ingests them, he or she may suffer internal burn injuries, which can result in serious illness and even death. In addition, the Batteries may pose a choking hazard to young children.

In general, if metal fragments are ingested, they could also cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat choking, burns, asphyxiation and/or possible life-changing complications.
