UK/London: Ella’s Kitchen, a Henley-on-Thames, England establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Banana Multigrain Baby Rice from the British marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Gluten and Oats, both known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Baby Rice Products are subject to recall:
- Ella’s Kitchen Banana Multigrain Baby Rice, sold in 125 stand-up pouches, with a batch code of 27922 and a best-before designation of 06 October 2023
==> No UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the UK FSA, Ella’s Kitchen has recalled certain batch/lots of Banana Multigrain Baby Rice from the British marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Gluten and Oats. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Baby Rice Products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Ella’s Kitchen Banana Multigrain Baby Rice and could be allergic to their Oat and Gluten ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Multigrain Baby Rice products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Rice to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
