US/Bethesda & Canada/Ottawa: Bissell Homecare Inc., a Grand Rapids, Michigan establishment, and Bissell Canada Corporation, a Mississauga, Ontario establishment, recall an estimated total 65,000 of Bissell branded Cordless Multi-Surface Wet Dry Vacuums (approximately 61,000 in the US and approximately 4,000 in Canada) from the American and Canadian marketplaces due to suspected overheating and consequential risks of burns, scalds, smoke inhalation, respiratory failure and/or cardiac system collapse, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.
