Kaindl branded Woodcarver Gold Saw Blades.. This recall alert was submitted by Finland to the EU Gateway under alert number A11/00007/23.

These Kaindl branded Woodcarver Gold Saw Blades were marketed, sold and delivered as consumer grade, carving saw blades designed for handheld Angle Grinder hardware tools and were packaged on bright blue flats protected by clear plastic blister packaging. Each of the Kaindl branded Woodcarver Gold Saw Blades measures approximately 115 mm in diameter and is gold in color with a black cutting surface and identification writing.

No EAN/barcodes, model numbers, manufacturing date codes, batch/lot designations, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

The hazards reported in the recalled Kaindl branded Woodcarver Gold Saw Blades include the reported finding that the recalled Angle Grinder does not have the adequate safety features to protect the operator from a contact with the recalled Blade. As a consequence, operators of an Angle Grinder with the recalled Blades face the risk of kickback and laceration and/or amputation caused by the exposed rotating Blade surface.

As a result, utilizing the recalled Kaindl branded Woodcarver Gold Saw Blades in a reasonable manner expected with their intended design and anticipated use could precipitate serious injury and/or life-changing health consequences.
