US/Washington: Ortal USA Inc., a Columbus, Ohio establishment, recalls an estimated 400 Traditional 90 and Traditional 110 Gas Fireplaces from the American marketplace due to suspected fire hazard and ventilation failure with consequential risks of burns, smoke inhalation, Carbon Monoxide poisoning, respiratory failure and/or cardiac system collapse, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Canada/Ottawa: JTI-Macdonald Corp., a Montreal, Québec, establishment recalls an estimated 656 packs of Cigarettes from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected failure to meet Canadian performance standards required by the Cigarette Ignition Propensity (Consumer Products) Regulations under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act and consequential risks of fire, burns, smoke inhalation, respiratory failure, cardiac system collapse and/or property damage, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.
