Among the sixty-three (63) recalls the European Union announced in its first report of December 2022, the following recall notification was made:
Hasbro branded FurReal Fuzzalots Lamb Interactive Animatronic Color-Change Children’s Toys, sold with a model designation of 20841, a batch/lot of 22131219-001 and a barcode/EAN of 5010993993628. This recall alert was submitted by Austria to the EU Safety Gateway under alert number A12/01703/22.
These Hasbro branded Hasbro FurReal Fuzzalots Children’s Toys were marketed, sold and delivered as interactive electronic toy pets whose color and sounds can change with different moods with the aim of eliciting variable care responses from children, aged four (4) years and older. There are over twenty-five (25) sounds and reactions generated by the FurReal Fuzzalots Toys, requiring one (1) “AA” battery to operate (included).
No manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.
The hazards reported in the recalled Hasbro branded FurReal Fuzzalots Lamb Interactive Animatronic Color-Change Children’s Toys include the finding that the Fuzzalots Children’s Toys come with a small part (specifically, a carrot-shaped bottle) that a child could put in the mouth. If this defect occurs, it poses consequential risks of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and/or sepsis, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.
As a consequence, utilizing the recalled FurReal Fuzzalots Lamb Interactive Animatronic Children’s Toys in a reasonable manner expected with their intended design and anticipated use could precipitate serious injury and/or life-changing health consequences.

Proposed Remedy:
Due to these defects, the recalled Hasbro branded FurReal Fuzzalots Lamb Interactive Animatronic Color-Change Children’s Toys reportedly do not comply with the requirements of Europe’s Toy Safety Directive.
Consequently, a recall of these Hasbro branded FurReal Fuzzalots Lamb Interactive Animatronic Color-Change Children’s Toys has been issued for the European marketplace. You should not market, sell or use the recalled children’s toys.
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Hasbro branded FurReal Fuzzalots Lamb Interactive Animatronic Children’s Toys, please do not use them or let your child play with or near them. Instead, kindly contact the store from which you purchased the product for return instructions.
If you have a medical emergency, please contact 1-1-2, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat burns, electrical shock, smoke inhalation, respiratory failure and/or cardiac system collapse.
