US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Exportadora Copramar, a Linares, Chile establishment, recalls an estimated 1260 ten (10)-pound cases of James Farm branded Frozen Raspberries from the American marketplace due to suspected Hepatitis A contamination and consequential risks of viral infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Frozen Raspberry products are subject to this recall:

  • James Farm Frozen Raspberries, sold in two (2) – 5 pound bags per 10-pound cartons with best-if-used-by date of June 14th, 2024, a batch/lot code of 22-165 with a UPC 76069501010. The Product of Chile

==> No barcodes, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Frozen Raspberry products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold from Restaurant Depot/Jetro locations in the US states of Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Virginia, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Frozen Fruit products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled James Farm Frozen Raspberries, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Frozen Fruit products to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat viral poisonings such as Hepatitis
