Among the sixty (60) recalls the NHTSA announced this month comes news of the following:

Logo - Chrysler (FCA US LLC)Chrysler (FCA US LLC), an Auburn Hills, Michigan establishment and a subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV of Amsterdam, Netherlands has recalled an estimated 60,413 model year 2020-2022 Jeep Wrangler Sport Utility Vehicles (“SUVs”), RAM 1500 Pickup Trucks and 2021-2022 Jeep Gladiator SUVs equipped with 3.0L Diesel Engines marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Fuel System, Gasoline, Engine – Fuel Pump failure

NHTSA Safety Notification 22V767000 reports the High Pressure Fuel Pump (“HPFP”) may fail, causing an Engine stall.

Logo - RAM TrucksAccording to the NHTSA, an Engine stall can increase the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

Proposed Remedy:
Authorized Chrysler Dealers will replace the High Pressure Fuel Pump (“HPFP”) and inspect and replace additional Fuel System components, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 2, 2022. Owners may contact Chrysler Customer Service toll-free” at 1-800-853-1403 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) for more information. Chrysler’s designation for this recall is Z96.
