Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Yatsal Distributors, a Chipping Norton, New South Wales establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Fantastic Sea Ocean Series Dolphin Swimming Bath Toys from the Australian marketplace due to suspected failure to comply with requirements of Australia’s mandatory standard ‘Consumer Protection Notice No. 14 of 2003 – Consumer Product Safety Standard: Toys for children up to and including 36 months of age’ and consequential risks of choking, oral injury, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and sepsis, all serious safety hazards.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Swimming Bath Toys are subject to this recall:

  • Fantastic Sea Ocean Series Dolphin Swimming Bath Toys, sold with a product number of 179 and a barcode/APN of 9315892257663

==> No item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Fantastic Sea Ocean Series Dolphin Swimming Bath Toys are thought to have been marketed, distributed and sold in the Australian states of New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia as well as the Australian Capital Territory, although it is always possible these Toy products had wider distribution inside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the ACCC, Yatsal Distributors has recalled certain batch/lots of Fantastic Sea Ocean Series Dolphin Swimming Bath Toys from the Australian marketplace due to the reported finding that the Toys fail to comply without Australia’s requirements of the mandatory standard ‘Consumer Protection Notice No. 14 of 2003 – Consumer Product Safety Standard: Toys for children up to and including 36 months of age.

Due to this reported defect, small objects could find their way into a young child’s throat and pose choking and/or suffocation hazards and, if placed in the mouth and/or swallowed, pose serious risks of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and sepsis.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Fantastic Sea Ocean Series Dolphin Swimming Bath Toys, please do not use them nor let your children play with or near the Toys. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat laceration, GI tract laceration damage and/or bowel obstruction.
