US/Silver Spring: Vi-Jon, LLC, a Smyrna, Tennessee establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of all current batch/lots of Magnesium Citrate Saline Laxative Oral Solution Lemon Flavor from the American marketplace due to suspected Gluconacetobacter liquefaciens contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

These Laxative Medications were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in all US states, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution outside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the FDA, Vi-Jon, LLC, a Smyrna, Tennessee establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of all current batch/lots of Magnesium Citrate Saline Laxative Oral Solution Lemon Flavor from the American marketplace due to suspected Gluconacetobacter liquefaciens contamination. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Magnesium Citrate Saline Laxative products identified above.

==> Never stop taking your prescription medications, including Laxative products, without the knowledge and approval of your personal physician or other MD familiar with your medical history, current health status and other drugs, medications and supplements you may be consuming. Failure to do so, may result in a serious drug interaction, side effect, complication, personal injury and/or death.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food or drug poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any drug, return it to your pharmacist for refund or to your local drug store for proper disposal, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect medication.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Magnesium Citrate Saline Laxative products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Laxatives to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings such as Gluconacetobacter liquefaciens contamination.
