US FlagUS/Silver Spring: H-E-B, a San Antonio, Texas establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of H-E-B branded Creamy Creations Light Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream from the American marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and/or mispackaging and consequential undeclared Wheat, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Ice Cream products are subject to this recall:

  • H-E-B Creamy Creation Light Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, packaged in 1/2 gallon tubs with a best-by date of 06 Jan 23 and a UPC of 4122048399

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Ice Cream products may have been marketed, distributed and sold in all US states, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the FDA, H-E-B has recalled certain batch/lots of H-E-B branded Creamy Creations Light Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream products from the American marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and/or mispackaging and consequential undeclared Wheat. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Ice Cream products identified above.

This recall was initiated when H-E-B Creamy Creations Light Cookies & Cream Ice Cream was found in some Ice Cream cartons labeled as H-E-B Creamy Creations Light Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. The H-E-B Creamy Creations Light Cookies & Cream Ice Cream product contains Wheat as an ingredient.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled H-E-B branded Creamy Creations Light Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream products and could be allergic to their Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
