Among the ninety-two (92) recalls the NHTSA announced in June came news of the following:

TLogo - The Autocar Company, LLChe Autocar Company, LLC (“Autocar”), a Birmingham, Alabama establishment and subsidiary of GVW Group, LLC of Highland Park, Illinois, has recalled 2,143 model year 2019-2022 Autocar Xpeditor ACX Severe Duty Trucks marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Electrical System – External Fuse Box may short circuit

NHTSA Safety Notification 22V437000 reports the External Fuse Box may short circuit due to water intrusion.

According to the NHTSA, a Fuse Box that short circuits can cause an unexpected vehicle stall, increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

Proposed Remedy:
Authorized Autocar Dealers will will mount the External Fuse Box vertically and install a Shield, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on August 15, 2022. Owners may contact Autocar’s Customer Service toll-free at 1-888-218-3611 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) for more information. Autocar’s designation for this recall is ACX-2203.
