Canada/Ottawa: Xinpangao International Trade Corporation, a Maple, Ontario establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Unbranded Shrimp Dumplings with Fish Wrapper from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Egg, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious health and safety hazard requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following processed Seafood products are subject to this recall:

  • Unbranded Shrimp Dumplings with Fish Wrapper, sold 340 gram plastic packages; affected batch/lot: all packages sold up to and including June 23, 2022 and a UPC of 6 920732 127940

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled processed Seafood products can be found on the Web site above.

==> No manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Unbranded Shrimp Dumplings with Fish Wrapper products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the CFIA, Xinpangao International Trade has recalled certain batch/lots of Unbranded Shrimp Dumplings with Fish Wrapper from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Egg. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled processed Seafood products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Unbranded Shrimp Dumplings with Fish Wrapper Products and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
